Maroons fall 4-2 to the Legionnaires

The Chatham Maroons dropped a 4-2 decision to the Sarnia Legionnaires on Thursday.

Sarnia kicked the game off with a goal early in the first period, but Dane Johnstone scored 4:17 into the frame to tie things up heading into the second.

After a scoreless second period, Kyle Fisher scored 19 seconds into the third to put the Maroons in the lead. However, the Legionnaires answered back with three back-to-back goals to take the lead and the victory.

Maroons goaltender Adam Harris made 36 saves out of 40 shots on net.

The Maroons will head to Strathroy next to take on the Rockets on Saturday. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
