Car caught with the wrong plates

A 39-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after getting behind the wheel when he shouldn't have.

Officers stopped a vehicle on West Street in Chatham Tuesday night around 8 p.m. because the license plates were from another vehicle.

The driver was suspended from driving because of unpaid fines and for remedial measures.

He was charged, and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

Pickup truck stolen in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent police are on the hunt for a truck that was stolen from Erie Street in Ridgetown on Tuesday.

Police say sometime between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. the white 2007 Ford F350 was taken.

The truck was last seen with Alberta license plates BXZ1 340, and has no tailgate.
