UPDATE: Hwy. 40 Reopened After Fatal Collision

A two-vehicle crash just north of Wallaceburg has left one driver dead.

At 1:30pm on Tuesday, OPP responded to the collision on Hwy. 40 at Langstaff Line. A southbound tractor trailer collided with an eastbound vehicle.

One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police have not released the name of the deceased.

The other driver involved was also taken to hospital.

Police closed Hwy. 40 between Whitebread Line and Dufferin Ave. for four hours to investigate the crash. The highway was reopened shortly before 6pm.
