Police Briefs - Tuesday, August 14, 2018

An alleged impaired driver was taken off the road near Wallaceburg Monday night.

Police were notified of a possible impaired driver on McCreary Line around 11pm.

Officers quickly located the vehicle and the driver was taken to headquarters for breath samples, which police allege were over the legal limit.

A 24-year-old Dresden man has been charged and was released with a court date when sober.

A couple of break and enters are under investigation.

Police say a business on Indian Creek Rd. E in Chatham was broken into sometime Sunday night or Monday morning, and a number of electronics were stolen.

Officers are also investigating after a shed on Hill Rd. in Ridgetown was entered Sunday night or Monday morning. A GPS and binoculars were taken.

Anyone with information in either incident is asked to contact Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers.
