Man charged with uttering threats

A Chatham man was arrested Sunday night for allegedly uttering threats to a woman last week.

Police say on May 10, a 67-year-old man threatened a woman, who then called the police.

The man has since been released and will appear in court June 5.

Man arrested on outstanding warrants

Police say they arrested an alleged shoplifter in Dresden after officers spotted him sleeping in his car Sunday morning.

The offence was caught on camera at the Grand Ave. W Shoppers Drug Mart in Chatham and a warrant was issued for the man's arrest.

The 22-year-old male was arrested and charged with theft and possession under $5,000. He was released with conditions and a future court date.

Another arrested for outstanding warrant

A 42-year-old woman was booked for failing to attend court.

Police say they found her behind a business on Grand Ave. W.

She is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman arrested for breaching release conditions

A woman was found and arrested at a Wallaceburg apartment on Sunday communicating with a specific man, both of which she was ordered not to do by the courts.

She was given the conditions back on February 21.

Police say they arrested the woman after getting a complaint about her at around 9:30pm Sunday night.

The 20-year-old has been charged with failing to comply. Upon her arrest, officers discovered she was wanted on an an additional outstanding warrant, too. She's being held in custody pending bail hearing.
