Randy Hope Wants 4th Term As CK Mayor

The mayor of Chatham-Kent says "he's 100%" running in this fall's municipal election.

However, Randy Hope says he's waiting to file his nomination papers until after the provincial election. Hope says he wants to let the June 7 provincial election dust settle before he starts campaigning.

Municipal candidates can file nomination papers from May 1 until July 27. Hope says he will file before the July 27 deadline.

Hope was elected as mayor in 2006 and will be trying to serve his fourth term in the mayor's office. Hope is already the longest-serving mayor in Chatham-Kent’s history.
