Rain, Freezing Rain, And Thunderstorms On The Way

Environment Canada says residents in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent should prepare for a lot of rain over the next 48 hours.

A special weather statement from the agency says Chatham-Kent and Rondeau Park, and Windsor, Essex County, and Leamington could get more than 50 mm of rain before the rain tapers off late Sunday.

Several rounds of rain are anticipated with a slow-moving low-pressure system. It could come with thunderstorms.

Temperatures will also dip to near or just below the freezing mark for a while late Saturday into Sunday morning, so there is the risk of freezing rain.
