Torched Vehicle Under Investigation In Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent police say they are investigating a suspicious vehicle fire on King St. in Wallaceburg that was sparked by a molotov cocktail.

Officers say they got the call from the vehicle's owner at around 9pm Tuesday. The owner reportedly told police that one of their security cameras had recorded an unknown male suspect smashing the window of the vehicle and then tossing a molotov cocktail inside.

Police say the vehicle was destroyed and the damages are estimated at $8,000.
