Work Continues To Find Cause Of Damaged Wind Tower

The Ministry of Environment (MOE) says a local wind turbine that collapsed on Friday will be removed this week.

The TerraForm Power wind tower snapped in half at Drake Rd. and 16 Line in Chatham-Kent.

The MOE says the cause of the collapse is still under investigation and all 51 of the wind turbines continue to be shut down until the cause is known.

The ministry says it continues monitoring the situation and will ensure that the company determines the cause of the incident.

Nobody was injured during the incident.
