Knights Buck Colts 5-3

The London Knights earned their third straight win with a 5-3 victory over the Barrie Colts on Thursday.

Shane Collins drew first blood with a goal 14:08 into the game to give London a 1-0 lead heading into the second period.

In a back-and-forth period, the Colts tied things up with a goal early in the second, but Richard Whittaker scored after eight minutes to retake the lead for London. Barrie tied the game again with a goal in the final four minutes of the frame, but London took a 3-2 advantage thanks to Alec Regula who scored after 18:14.

Cole Tymkin extended the Knights' lead to 4-2 14:23 into the final period, but the Colts continued to fight back, scoring just over three minutes later.  However, London capped off their advantage with one final goal by Sam Miletic with 30 seconds left to play.

London goaltender Jordan Kooy made 40 saves out of 43 shots on net.

The Knights head to Sudbury on Friday to take on the Wolves at 7:05pm
