Snow in Forecast for Monday

Southwestern Ontario is likely getting its first real taste of winter Monday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the following areas:

  • Windsor - Leamington - Essex County
  • Chatham-Kent - Rondeau Park
  • London - Parkhill - Eastern Middlesex County
  • Strathroy - Komoka - Western Middlesex County
  • Rodney - Shedden - Western Elgin County
  • St. Thomas - Aylmer - Eastern Elgin County
  • Woodstock - Tillsonburg - Oxford County
  • Simcoe - Delhi - Norfolk
Forecasters say the first measurable snowfall of the year is possible beginning Monday and ending Monday night. Portions of the region saw at least a dusting of snowfall Saturday.

5cm to 10cm of snow are possible as an Alberta clipper is set to move through the region. Some snowfall may be heavier in a few spots, but as of Saturday night, snowfall warnings are not likely.
