Express Contain Lightning 108-91

Maurice Jones scored 28 points in the Windsor Express' 108-91 win over the London Lightning Saturday night at Budweiser Gardens.

Windsor evens its record on the young NBLC season to 3-3 while the Lightning fall to 2-5.

The Lightning did start out controlling the game, holding a slight lead after one quarter of play, but the Express clawed back into it and held a slight 47-45 lead at halftime. Windsor then controlled the third quarter and ended the game strong.

Braylon Rayson picked up 24 points off the bench for the Express with five rebounds. Shaquille Keith added 17.

Devin White not only scored 14 points but was also a defensive beast for Windsor with 15 rebounds, good for a double-double. Only nine of those were defensive.

For the Lightning, five players scored in double digits. One, Marcus Capers, had a double-double., leading London with 22 points and adding 11 rebounds. Yohanny Dalembert led defensively with 12 boards.

Joel Friesen-Latty added 17 points for London while Garrett Williamson sunk 14.

Windsor returns to the WFCU Centre Friday to host the St. John's Edge. The Lightning entertain the Edge on Sunday, December 17.
