Months of hard work at Blenheim’s elevated water tower will be celebrated at the end of the week.
A rehabilitated elevated water tower and new logo in Blenheim will be unveiled Friday morning.
The Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission says the $1-million project started in March and involved several improvements to the interior and exterior tank coatings.
"The tank was originally constructed in 1999 and is a major component of the South Chatham-Kent water supply and distribution system," the CK PUC says in a media release. "The project also included installation of a hydro-dynamic mixing system inside the tank."
With these improvements, the tank is expected to last for another 20 plus years.
