A 27-year-old Chatham man has been charged with arson.
Police say the man was inside a friend’s home in Chatham Tuesday night when he allegedly lit a box spring on fire. He got angry when he was asked to leave and allegedly began throwing glasses in the kitchen area.
Then on Wednesday at approximately 9am, the same man was asked several times to leave the same address but allegedly refused. He had a knife in his hands and was allegedly threatening anyone who attempted to remove him from the house.
The suspect has also charged with mischief and possession of a dangerous weapon.
