UPDATE: Motorcyclist Dies In Crash Near Tilbury

The OPP is confirming that a serious crash near Tilbury has claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

Police say on Thursday at around 12pm, an eastbound Ford SUV collided head-on with a westbound Honda motorcycle on Morris Rd. between Richardson Sideroad and Lee Ave.

Police say the male motorcycle rider was rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries and has since died as a result of the crash.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

The collision closed Morris Rd. between Richardson Sideroad and Lee Ave. while officers were at the scene. The road was reopened around 4:45pm.
