OPP Commander Keeping The Peace Overseas

The Chatham-Kent OPP Detachment Commander has been deployed to the West Bank in Israel.

Staff Sergeant Brad Coulbeck is on a one year Canadian Forces mission to support the peace process in the area.

Coulbeck will be a mentor and advisor to the Palestinian Authority Security Forces in the West Bank.

The mandate of Operation Proteus is to develop the Palestinian Authority’s ability to provide a safe and secure environment for its citizens and promote peace.

He has started a library that will remain in the West Bank and is accepting donations to buy books on the Arab-Israeli Conflict and other books pertinent to Palestinian and Israeli culture.
