UPDATE: Hwy. 401 Reopened

The OPP says all westbound lanes of Hwy. 401 at Kent Bridge Rd. in Chatham-Kent have been reopened following a tractor-trailer crash.

The crash happened on Tuesday around 3:40pm.

OPP Constable Jay Denorer says a tractor-trailer rear ended another trailer on the highway resulting in the closures.

There are minimal injuries and Denorer says charges are pending for one of the drivers.

The westbound lanes were closed between Kent Bridge Rd. and Bloomfield Rd. but were reopened just after 6pm.

No further information has been released at this time.
