Environment Canada has ended severe thunderstorm warnings for London-Middlesex, Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton.
A severe thunderstorm watch is also in effect for all of Midwestern Ontario.
Thursday evening, the weather agency said conditions are favourable for the development for severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong winds, large hail and heavy rain.
Environment Canada warns large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. The weather agency is reminding people to stay indoors in the event of a thunderstorm.
