Trying out her luck on an Instant Crossword Deluxe scratch ticket has paid off big for an Erieau resident.
Carolynn Hill has won the top prize of $250,000.
"Instant Crossword is my favourite game. I’ve been playing for about 20 years,” says Hill in a media release. "I thought I won $25,000 at first and then I realized I was missing a letter, which gave me another word. Next thing I knew I had 11 words and a $250,000 winning ticket!”
Hill says she plans on spending her winnings on a new computer and equipment for her husband who's a photographer.
The OLG says Hill's winning ticket was purchased at Eua Bouy Variety on Vidler Avenue in Erieau.
