It's Tourism Week in Canada and Chatham-Kent wants to showcase everything it can offer to the public.
To kick off the week, Chatham-Kent Tourism held a brochure swap on Tuesday at Capitol Theatre to share information about different attractions in the community.

"Once we get the tourists in, we know they search us online, but when they get here a lot of people still like that paper, they like to know where to go," says Chatham-Kent Tourism supervisor Shannon Paiva.
Paiva says Tourism Week is all about showing people they can enjoy a vacation right in their own backyard.
"It's important that we realize what's in our own backyard as well. We call them 'stay-cations' now. It's a fancy term for 'Hey, we already know what's great in our own area,'" explains Paiva.
Paiva says just some of the many fun activities to do in Chatham-Kent include fishing tournaments, the underground railroad, beaches, and unique shops and restaurants.
With many exits along Hwy. 401 now closed and summer quickly approaching, Chatham-Kent Tourism has started a campaign called "Detourism" with maps pointing out different routes to take and the attractions they lead to.
