Good Turnout For Mental Health Run

Some residents might have some sore muscles following Chatham-Kent's fifth annual Run For Mental Health.

The annual event was held at Kinston Park on Saturday with about 500 participants and close to 300 supporters.

"The 5km race was designed to bring awareness to mental health and work towards dispelling stigmas," said Jennifer Jackson, race director.

This year's event was expected to raise about $40,000. Funds will go towards programs at The Mental Health Network of Chatham-Kent.
