Konecny Makes Team Canada Roster

Chatham-Kent's Travis Konecny has been chosen to represent Canada at the upcoming IIHF World Championships.

The 20-year-old from Clachan is one of the first 18 players to be named to the team.

This year's tournament is taking place in France and Germany.

Canada's first game is on Friday, May 5 against the Czech Republic.

The Canadians have won gold at the last two IIHF World Championships including an undefeated run to the title in 2015.
