Chatham-Kent's Public Works, Infrastructure and Engineering Services have a friendly reminder for all residents.
Officials are asking people to not plant in municipal right of ways.
They say as plants grow taller and fuller throughout the season, they can obstruct visibility for motorists at intersections.
Public Works also says planting on municipal right of ways close to roadside ditches can also cause drainage and erosion problems.
The municipality warns it will not be responsible for damage or loss of vegetation planted on a municipal right of way.
