Sting Fall 5-3 To Otters

The Erie Otters topped the Sarnia Sting 5-3 on Monday to take a 3-0 playoff series lead.

The Otters drew first blood with a goal 1:23 into the game, but Jordan Ernst scored for Sarnia to tie things at 1-1 going into the second period.

Erie scored three back-to-back goals in the second frame to jump ahead to a 4-1 lead.

Kevin Spinozzi and Jaden Lindo both scored in the third to bring the Sting within one goal of the Otters. However, Erie scored one final goal with one second left on the clock to ensure their win.

The Otters also outshot the Sting 40-28.

Sarnia will try to stave off elimination on Wednesday in Game 4 against Erie. The puck drops at 7pm at Erie Insurance Arena.
