Update: Charges Laid In Thamesville House Fire

Police in Chatham-Kent have charged a 46-year-old man after a house fire in Thamesville.

It happened shortly after 5pm on Dew Drop Ln.  Crews from the Thamesville and Bothwell stations responded to a report of a structure on fire.  When they arrived on scene the house was completely engulfed.

There were no reports of injuries and the fire was declared a total loss.  Damage estimates are at $120,000.

Police say it's the third fire at the home in the past week.

The Ontario Fire Marshal and Emergency Management offices were contacted and they are assisting the Chatham-Kent firefighters with the investigation.
