Two Pool Sharks Competing Stateside

Two Chatham-Kent swimmers have been chosen to compete with Team Ontario.

Chatham's Genevieve Sasseville and Wallaceburg's Madison Broad -- who are both members of the Chatham Pool Sharks -- will represent the province at the upcoming Arena Pro Series Meet in Indianapolis.

Right now, they're training in Florida for ten days.

Pool Sharks Head Coach Kyle Pinsonneault says the selection shows that hard work pays off.

"What's amazing is that we had two swimmers selected to Team Ontario from a small community like Chatham-Kent," says Pinsonneault. "It's proof that great athletes can come from small communities."

The Pro Series Meet in Indianapolis will take place from March 2-4 and will feature some of the fastest swimmers of the world.
