UPDATE: Structure Fire In Chatham Under Investigation

Chatham-Kent Police and Fire Services are investigating the cause of a structure fire that broke out early Sunday morning.

Fire officials say around 4:45am, crews were called to a two-storey building on Edgar St. in Chatham. The extent of the fire forced firefighters to take a defensive strategy in order to keep the flames from spreading.

No injuries have been reported.

Damage to the building is estimated around $120,000 and contents lost are estimated to be worth $10,000.

The Ontario Fire Marshal attended the scene for consultation. It's still unknown what caused the fire.
