Queen St. Credit Union Under Repair After Crash

The Mainstreet Credit Union on Queen St. in Chatham is undergoing emergency repairs, after a truck drove through the front doors, yesterday afternoon.

The accident reportedly caused significant damage to the front entrance and ATM area, and as a result, the Queen St. plaza location will remain closed into early next week.

Police say a 73-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle, adding no charges will be laid.

Damage is pegged at $15,000.

At the same time, company officials say they continue to plan for extensive renovations at their Keil Dr. branch, set to get underway in October.

Construction is scheduled for completion in December, and they're still preparing to move Keil Dr. services to Queen St., next month.

There were no injuries in the crash.
