Maroons Fall To Legionnaires In Home Opener

The Sarnia Legionnaires edged Chatham 3-2 in the Maroons' home opener Sunday night.

Both teams scored in the first period to tie the game 1-1 going into the second. However, Sarnia was able to take a 3-2 lead before the third. The Legionnaires held off Chatham in the final 20 minutes to ensure their win.

Maroons rookie Bobby Harrison scored his first goal of the season and says it's nice to have it out of the way.

"It feels good, definitely," he say. "It's a good start the season here, not the outcome we wanted [though]."

The Maroons are back on the ice on Wednesday to take on the Vipers in LaSalle at 7pm.
