Bikefest Brings Big Draw

Chatham-Kent's Big Brothers Big Sisters estimates $40,000 was raised at this weekend's BikeFest.

Although final numbers won't be confirmed for a few weeks, Executive Director Nan Stuckey believes stretching the fundraiser over two days helped increase their total.

"I do think having a two-day event really elevates the possibility of raising more money," says Stuckey. "Had we had great weather, that would've been the case this year for sure."

Stuckey adds this year's total is around $8,000 more than last year.

Over 200 bikers cruised down Chatham's King St. during this weekend's festivities.
