Man Charged After Fatal Dog Attack

The owner of a husky-style dog has been charged following a fatal dog attack in Tecumseh.

As BlackburnNews.com told you Monday, OPP began investigating an incident at a dog park on St. Jacques St. Sunday.

Police say there was an altercation between an Alaskan Malamute and a Schnoodle, a cross between a Schnauzer and a poodle.

The smaller dog later died of its injuries.

A 39-year-old Windsor man who owns the Alaskan Malamute has been charged under the Dog Owners Liability Act with failing to prevent biting or attacking a person or domestic animal.
