Vehicle Involved In Fatal Hit And Run Located

Police in Vancouver have located a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit and run that killed a Windsor man.

The Vancouver Police Department says on Sunday around 2:30am, two men were skateboarding in the area of Heather St. and West 54th Ave. when one of them was hit by a car. The driver of the vehicle left the scene without stopping.

The victim of the hit and run, 30-year-old Ryan Barron, was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. According to Barron’s Facebook page, he is originally from Windsor and attended Tilbury District High School.

On Tuesday, officers seized a vehicle at a home on the east side of Vancouver, and it is now being processed by the Vancouver Police Forensics Unit.

Police are still working to identify the driver of the vehicle.
