Court Rejects GFO Legal Action Against Neonic Seed Regs

The Court of Appeal of Ontario has denied Grain Farmers of Ontario's latest legal challenge of the provincial neonic regulations.

GFO Chair Mark Brock calls the decision both frustrating and disheartening.

However, Brock says the judgement did acknowledge that farmer rights have been negatively affected by the seed regulations.

He says GFO directors will discuss an appeal.

In the meantime, Brock says they're having BDO conduct an audit of the impact of the regulations on Ontario's grain farmers.
