Trail In Support Of Hospice Opens

A trail linking the new Erie Shores Campus of Hospice of Windsor and Essex County to the rest of Leamington's trail network is open.

It's called Serenity Trail and it occupies a 1 km long stretch of former rail lands north of Smith Ave. and west of Elliot St.

Leamington Chief Administrative Officer Peter Neufeld says it was built to support the hospice's vision.

"It is the municipality's vision Serenity Trail provide a serene setting of flowers and milkweed designed to create a peaceful sanctuary," says Neufeld.

The project was in collaboration with Sterling Acre Farms Ltd.
