Parade Of Chefs A Success

Local food and drink took centre stage at the 14th annual Parade of Chefs.

Thursday night's fundraiser for the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at Club Lentinas was a sellout.

Celebrity chef and food editor Mike Ward was the guest emcee, and was excited to be involved with the event.

"Chefs are looking to show people what I can do, wineries are hoping to try out new taste buds on their products," says Ward. "You've got doctors serving food, which is just hysterical. And of course, you've got millions of dollars being raised for the people that need it the most. It's very cool."

Ward was born and raised in Australia but now calls Toronto home. He is the current food editor of Canadian Living magazine.

All of the money raised at Parade of Chefs is going to the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.
