Wallaceburg Swimmer Places 16th

Madison Broad finished 16th overall in the 100m backstroke at the Canadian Olympic Swimming Trials.

The 15-year-old thought she had missed the B finals after swimming 1:03.33 in the premlims, but two swimmers scratched.

Broad was sixth in the B final, swimming 1:02.93.

She will now race in the 200m backstroke on Sunday in Scarborough.
