Maroons Fall To Flyers In Game 2

The Leamington Flyers beat the Chatham Maroons 6-3 to tie the Junior B playoff series 1-1 on Sunday.

The Flyers were first on the board, taking a 1-0 advantage after 14 minutes into the game. Despite a brief 2-1 lead for Chatham in the second, Leamington edged ahead 3-2 going into the third. Leamington scored another three goals, over one for Chatham, to double the Maroons in the win.

Maroons Head Coach Tyler Roeszler says he felt his team was outplayed in Game 2.

"It's the game. It was even penalties on both sides and it just came down to who could execute," he says. "Their power play was moving the puck and was the difference tonight."

The Flyers and the Maroons will face off again for Game 3 Tuesday night at 7:10 pm in Leamington.
