The Ridge House Museum is looking back on 40 years of history.
Last year marked 40 years for the Ridgetown museum and curator Lydia Burggraaf says there's an exhibit being offered focusing on 40 objects to celebrate that history.
"I think that people are really excited about the anniversary of the museum," says Burggraaf.
One of the 40 items on display is the old wicker stroller of a former town celebrity.
"Daisy Hiles was the centennial queen of Ridgetown in 1975," says Burggraaf. "She was selected for that role because she was the oldest citizen of Ridgetown in 1975."
A family bible from 1870 is also part of the exhibit.
"Family bibles in the 19th century were an important document to a family. They were used to record births and deaths along with marriages and other important family events," says Burggraaf.
The exhibit began on March 12 and is set to run until mid-summer.
The Ridge House Museum was started in 1975 through a joint venture between the Ridgetown Rotary Club and the Ridgetown Historical Society.
