Pet Expo In Chatham Today

Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and other exotic animals are taking over the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham today.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their pets with them to the first ever Southwestern Ontario Pet Expo.

"We're going to have over 100 exotic animals with Canadian Speciality Exotic Animals coming with all their snakes and tarantulas," says organizer Connie Beneteau. "You're going to be able to touch, and hold, and feed these animals and get to know what they're all about. We're gonna have a best dressed pet contest, as well as wiener dog races."

The expo from today from 10am-5pm, and organizers are expecting over 800 people. Admission is $10, and kids under the age of 13 get in free.
