Chatham's Woodman At CFL Combine

Testing at the CFL combine starts today and a Chatham native is looking to make an impression.

Defensive back Josh Woodman hopes to catch the attention of team scouts and general managers at the event in Toronto.

"I feel ready," says Woodman. "My trainer has done a really good job in getting me ready and he says that he feels that I'm ready and I trust him because he knows what he's doing."

The 23-year-old played at Western University for the Mustangs the last four years, two of them as a receiver.

Woodman hopes to run under the 40 yard dash in under 4.6 seconds and excel in the 1-on-1 battles with receivers. He was slated for an interview with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Friday, the same team Chatham native receiver Andy Fantuz plays for.

The combine wraps up tomorrow. The CFL Draft is being held in May.
