Natyshak To Demand Liberal Recognition

NDP MPP Taras Natyshak is going to fight for Windsor-Essex to be included in the "innovation corridor" identified in Ontario's budget.

With an unemployment rate over 9% and youth unemployment at 22% in Windsor, he says this region needs arguably the most help in the province, and there are great ideas here that need backing.

"If we had members of the [Liberal] government come down here and understand [that there's] a lot of growth potential, they might see things differently," explains Natyshak. "I think they would understand that this region should make up a really integral component of our overall economic growth and prosperity."

Natyshak spoke with entrepreneurs and innovators at Windsor's Downtown Business Accelerator on Wednesday.

His plan is to bring this issue to Queen's Park in hopes that the province will fix what he calls "a big mistake."
