Dave Allin Basketball Tournament

The Dave Allin Classic Basketball tournament tips off this afternoon at 4 pm at John McGregor Secondary School.

It is in honor of well known Chatham-Kent teacher and coach Dave Allin who passed away three years ago from ALS.

His son Conner Allin says it is open to the public and admission is free.

"16 teams and you know they are coming from as far as Toronto," he says. "It's a wide array of kids and it is just a blast for everyone."

Admission is free and there is a silent auction. Previous auctions at the tournament have raised $35,000 with the money donated to Windsor Essex ALS Society.

This is the third year for the tournament. It continues tomorrow starting at 9am.
