Chatham Santa Claus Parade Tonight

Santa Claus is coming to Chatham tonight.

"The parade's going to come up over the Lacroix St. bridge, it's going to hang a left on to King St. and wind it's way down King St. and end at the WISH Centre," says parade chair Jaclyn Gillier. "So there's lots of great seating along that route."

The parade starts at 6pm and Gillier estimates there will be over 3,000 people.

Along the parade route a number of groups will be collecting donations. The Chatham-Kent Professional Fire Fighters Association will be doing a boot drive for Chatham-Kent Children Services and their Christmas Project. The Salvation Army will be collecting non-perishable food items, Torbram Electric will be collecting stuffed animals & small toys, while Canada Post will be taking letters to Santa.
