Municipalities Stand In Solidarity

The flag at Windsor City Hall is flying at half-mast today to mark Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris.

It's one of many tributes around the world as the investigation into the attacks that killed 129 people continue. In Chatham, the French flag is also flying at half-mast at the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre.

Mayor Drew Dilkens calls the event in the French capital life-altering.

"We have people who just want to go to work, and sit in cafes, and feel safe, and enjoy themselves," he says. "It's no different regardless of what city you're in. So in that regard, it's important, I think, we stand together and show we stand united against this radicalism that's happening throughout the world."

City council will also hold a moment of silence ahead of tonight's council meeting.
