Students seeking part-time employment can look forward to Sutherland Global Services' job fair today. This is the second of two job fairs Sutherland is having for post-secondary students. It will be held at St. Clair College's main campus. The company is hoping to fill 300 part-time positions by Christmas. A student at St. Clair College says these job opportunities can help students break into the employment world. "When you look as a student they tell you that you have to have experience to get a job and you need a job to get experience and it's a vicious circle," says Megan Mellor, a paralegal student at the college. "So, with the unemployment rate being so high I think it's great they're going to be hiring so many students." Another St. Clair student and former Sutherland employee, Nicky Vanrivong, says the company's accommodating nature is beneficial to students. "Students are looking for employment, especially with jobs that help centre around their schedule and accommodate for that," says Vanrivong. "So, it's a pretty good thing." The job fair will be held from 10 a.m - 5 p.m. If interested in a position, apply in-person at 500 Ouellette Ave. or online.
