Bradley Centre Sees Yearly Improvement

While the Bradley Centre continues to lose money, the outlook for the Chatham-Kent owned structure is improving.

Council will hear a report about how the centre faired in the Second Quarter. Results peg the subsidy for the centre at around $30,000.That's a $58,000 improvement from 2014.

While the convention centre will still have a deficit of $328,000, last year that number was $90,000 more.

CK officials maintain the stance that convention centres aren't meant to make a profit, but rather create economic spinoff for the community. Estimates set that spinoff benifit at $1.6 million yearly through hotel stays, restaurant visits and shopping.
