Man Faces 86 Child Exploitation Charges

Windsor police have seized two computers, hard drives, and charged a 22-year-old Windsor man with 86 counts of child pornography related charges.

Officers say they found hundreds of Skype conversations, where the suspect would allegedly counsel younger men to commit various acts while recorded on his screen. The videos were found while searching a home in the 1100-block of Villaire Ave., last September. On Thursday, the suspect was arrested at his home without incident.

The 26 victims range from 13 to 21-years-old, from as far away as Australia. The videos were recorded from December 2013 to September 2014. No local victims are believed to be involved in the investigation.

22-year-old Christopher Metivier is charged with 42 counts of luring, including five counts of luring a person under 16 for the purpose of bestiality. He also faces 24 counts of making child pornography, 11 counts of invitation to sexual touching, and five counts of inciting bestiality.

Evidence is being turned over to provincial authorities in an attempt to identify the child victims and provide counseling.
