Beach Bus Fees Waived

Chatham-Kent is maintaining the tradition of waiving the fees for the beach bus for the Civic Holiday weekend.

Engineering technologist with the municipality Jan Metcalfe says starting today, continuing through the weekend including Monday, the bus to beaches at Erieau Mitchell's Bay is free.

"For six years in a row we've had the beach bus free on the Civic holiday weekend and it has always been well received which is, I think, why council continues to provide that," she says. "The bus leaves the terminal and goes to the north and returns to the terminal and goes to the south and repeats that four times a day."
