It was one year ago today, July 27, that an EF1 tornado with winds between 155 and 175 km/h tore through the Grand Bend.
As many as 10,000 trees were toppled in the storm that cut power to over 4,000 Hydro One customers.
Hardest hit was in the heavily wooded area between the Pinery and the Bend, where some trees are still leaning over and some vacant lots are still littered with trunks and branches.
Lambton Shores Mayor Bill Weber says there's still some clean-up work to be done.

A Toronto woman had her pelvis crushed when a tree crashed down on her while she was trying to hide under a picnic table at her campsite at the Pinery.
Municipal damage was estimated as high as a million dollars.
