Getting Ready For Bloom Judges

The municipality is asking residents to take some time this weekend to tidy up their yards and flowerbeds.

That's because the Communities In Bloom judges will be making their way through Chatham-Kent next week.

Coordinator Monica Robertson says it's more than just flowers.

"A community in bloom is one that's blossoming and flourishing and ultimately growing to its full potential," says Robertson. "So if you're fulfilling the criteria that they're looking for, then you're going to be the best you can be as a community."

The judges will be arriving on Wednesday July 29, and leaving on Saturday August 1.
